The installer works autoruns and installs without problems. Installed the complete game with all three CDs using the software rendering option. The Full-Motion Video (FMV) works without any difficulties when queued to play. When the time came to switch CDs during the game playback, no problems were encountered. Save and restore games work perfectly. Interacting with the environment was flawless.
While Direct3D video installed and runs, it was not optimal to run this game using Direct3D rendering for me.
Uninstallation of the game also worked as expected. It left the save games alone as I instructed the uninstaller to leave them alone.
What does not
I did not find any problems during testing. I Played through the entire game complete to the credits.
What was not tested
Everything was tested.
While I did not have the performance when using the Direct3D video option, it still ran the game, albeit, a low frame-rate. I would say hardware is to blame. Run the game in software video mode, and you will be fine.
