What works

• Joining servers.
• Basic gameplay.
• Sound (with Windows Media Player installed).

What does not

• The game crashes at startup with the message: "Song playback failed. Please verify that the song is not DRM protected. DRM protected songs are not supported for creator games.", followed by a stacktrace. This is because it requires Windows Media Player for audio playback, for which Wine does not provide a replacement.

Workarounds

• The startup crash can be fixed either by completely disabling game audio, by setting nosound = true in client.config.txt, or by installing Windows Media Player, for example by using the Winetricks verb wmp11.

• A realistic multiplayer scenario.

• The game crashes at startup with the message: "System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Game, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=6d5c3888ef60e27d' or one of its dependencies." if the XNA Framework Redistributable 3.0 is missing, which is also the case on Windows. Download and install it from https://www.microsoft.com/en-u.... Do not install XNA Framework Redistributable 3.1 (for example, using the Winetricks verb xna31), as it doesn't seem to be compatible.
