What works
The installer functions (see workaround) and the game launches. I was able to start a new game as well as bring over an existing save I had.
What does not
The installer is blank upon launching.
Workarounds
In a new wineprefix (32 bit), it is necessary to install Internet Explorer 6 and DirectX9 with a tool such as winetricks. Without IE6 the installer will not load. DX9 is also required or the game won't launch.
In my testing, it appears the game must be launched with Fate-WT.exe which launches the WildTangent launcher first. The launcher will bring up an IE warning about scripts, just hit yes to ignore it. This is probably because the version of the launcher is very old and the servers it used in 2006 likely no longer exist. (The launcher knows it is online but can't reach the WT servers).
