What works
The GUI, as long as you install MFC42.
What does not
The actual rendering of caustics are extremely broken, it renders, and you can see the caustics, but with weird garbled lines going through on the X axis.
Workarounds
There aren't really any workarounds, other than using a VM of course, but you could probably use an image editor to partially fix the corruption.
What was not tested
Nothing to my knowledge, other than rendering through the render animation button, but I'd assume the result would be similar to the render single button.

This software, even though the tested version is 20 years old is still great, and I'm currently using a VM to use it, using WINE would be nicer. So here I am.
