What works
This is currently an Early Access Game, though it ran well for me.
I installed on an M3 Macbook Pro using the Whisky App for macOS: https://getwhisky.app/
That let me install Steam for Windows in Wine, then I was able to do the regular download and patches from Steam under this Wine/Whisky environment.
No crashes, I played this DX11 title on a 4K monitor in single player mode for over 80 minutes.
There was a warning dialog about using v30.zzz of an AMD driver (perhaps that comes with Whisky?), rather than v22.zzz, which was a bit unusual but didn't seem to affect anything - I had fun.
Unfortunately I don't have a recent version of Windows for gaming, so I can't really compare it to Windows but this form forces me to make a choice instead of specifying "unknown", which seems like a flaw, oh well.
