HowTo / Notes

HOWTO Installation with plain wine 9.0

First we create a new prefix where as I personally install all my prefixes below one directory called "WineApps" but you can adjust that just as you wish:

  • mkdir -p WineApps/PatchworkProgramm

To activate this prefix to use it within wine we need to export the WINEPREFIX environment variable.

  • export WINEPREFIX=/home/mwagner/WineApps/PatchworkProgramm/

The following steps assume that you have a binary of Patchwork downloaded in your "Downloads" folder/directory. So let's change directory (cd) to that folder and run wine afterwards.

  • cd Downloads/
  • wine PwSetup407.exe
