What does not

- Opening the Application/Everything Else

- Activation/Free Trial Menu/Window [More info in additional comments]

Workarounds

Install dotnet40, dotnet40_kb2468871, dotnet45, and dotnet48

Install dxtrans (not sure if needed, but I have it just in case)

Install dxvk

Install mono (if not already installed)

Install msvcrt and msvcrt40

Install vcrun2012, vcrun2013, and vcrun2022

Install vkd3d

All above were installed using winetricks

While not in this test, previous tests I've preformed need WINE to be set to Windows 8.1 in winecfg, maybe specifically the app itself (vegas180.exe) [Assuming you plan to use other apps with the same WINE profile.] (This could've changed since the last time I ran this test, but I thought I would include it anyways, just to be on the safe side)

Also not in this test, but a required step for anyone else attempting this is to either rename, or delete FileIOProxyStubx64.dll, or the application will crash once it gets to loading the File I/O Manager (if you get there with a legally obtained copy)

The last one is absolutely required in order to get a copy of VEGAS Pro to fully run (again, if you can get there with a legally obtained copy) [highlighted for importance]

Additional Comments

This copy of VEGAS Pro 18 was legally purchased/obtained. [Main Desktop PC]

For right now, the only way to get around the software from not working is to locate a pirated copy of the software. While this is not the recommended approach, there's nothing that can currently be done until we figure out how to resolve the error with the legally obtained version of the software.

On windows, if you were to install this software, there'd usually be a window when you first open VEGAS that asks you if you want to do a free trial, or if you want to activate. No such window was shown on Linux.
