What works

The "installer" (self-extracting rar-archive) works just fine, as expected.

What does not

Won't start. The game gives a windowed error message:

3D-engine requires a 16-bit (or higher) display mode to run in a window.

Please switch your desktop settings accordingly.

3D-engine will now exit.

This is rather confusing, because my desktop is set to use 24 bit colors.

What was not tested

Didn't try to run the game with any dll-overrides...

Hardware tested

  • GPU:
  • Driver:
