you MUST install "iv5play.exe" from the game disc

if you want to view the cinematics then you will also need a native quartz.dll

Running on multicore systems
I am told that the command taskset -c0 wine thief2.exe is needed (and sufficent) to run Thief and Thief2 on a multicore system.
