The game installs ok.
What does not
If you do not have the "nvidia-glx-dev" package installed, when you try to run the game with "wine THIEFII.EXE" you get a popup saying "Direct X version 7 or higher is not installed".
If you have it installed (at 2 jan 2007 available in Debian unstable, and I have got it installed on Etch working fine as I type this), and compile wine 0.9.28 from source, you can load the game fine and it seems to be working but it freezes randomly and to freequently to be playable.
There is a white cursor that shouldn't be there in the middle of the screen.
What was not tested
Did not test sound output because I wasn't interested when the graphics froze.

you MUST install "iv5play.exe" from the game disc
