What does not

The installer doesn't work, so you have to install it onto a Windows/VM and then copy contents of

- C:\Program Files\Adobe
- C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe

to the corresponding folders in your wine prefix.

- You might see a broken UI in some places, but it can be fixed with this patch

Workarounds

After copying Adobe Illustrator from Windows machine/VM, you will need to run winetricks vcrun2022 dxvk corefonts gdiplus fontsmooth=rgb

You will also need to manually copy some DLLs from Windows. Extract these files and place them in the wine prefix (in the “drive_c\Windows\System32” folder, overwriting where necessary).

Don't forget to add a DLL override for msxml3.dll, and set it to "native, builtin"

Finally, you must duplicate some DLLs in the Adobe Illustrator directory. Specifically, duplicate the following:

icuin73.dll => icuin.dll
icuuc73.dll => icuuc.dll

• Driver: proprietary

Additional Comments

If you are currently using nVidia (like me), you need to use nvidia-libs for better performance and GPU detection (this make sense especially for Photoshop, Premiere)
