Additional Comments
Performance issues, this isn't obvious until you start a campaign
mission or skirmish. It starts to have cursor flicker issues then FPS
drops significantly enough to be unplayable.
However if you go to winecfg, configure the libraries to make sure
ddraw.dll loads native before built in, then download the ddraw wrapper
here http://bitpatch.com/ddwrapper....
then configure it have ForceDirectDrawEmulation and NoVideoMemory set
to 1, performance and cursor flickering issues disappear. Now it works
just like what it used to be back in 2000s :)
I know this is somewhat a workaround but these issues exists on Windows as well (Later versions, like playing on modern Windows machine).
The only difference it seems from Windows when it comes to this step is
that NoVideoMemory is necessary otherwise you still get FPS and
flickering issues.
My unit is a macbook air 2015 model by the way.
