To fix the mouse grab you need to run "winetrick mwo=force". However, that will also make the menus unusable. So do your configuration first, then set mwo=force (mwo=enabled to revert) and use a helper script (such as this one: http://hostcode.sourceforge.net/view/355 ) to move the mouse with keys. See bug #33570 for details.

You can use the Lutris script if you don't want to go through the hassle of setting up your own Wine Prefix for the software. It assumes the GOG version, but I'm sure it works with any version.
