Bug 8848 is still there, but can be worked around by setting bumpmapping to Medium In addition, there are apparently two more graphics bugs One is that some very dark shadowed areas appear completely black, even when lit by flashlight. Another is that a lot of static geometry (fence textures, tires in the auto shop, etc) vanishes when lit by a SWAT member's flashlight.

Quick Play

You can use the Lutris script if you don't want to go through the hassle of setting up your own Wine Prefix for the software. It assumes the GOG version, but I'm sure it works with any version.
