What works
Game appears to be working fine when using Zeckensack's Glide wrapper and with the best settings under Croc setup, although couldn't seem to override the resolution so they best I could get was 800x600. Haven't done much testing, only tried the first level.
What does not
Game doesn't work without Zeckensack's wrapper, sounds are present but the screen is black when using DirectDraw drivers. CD sounds were sadly not present but the other sounds were. Also tested using latest dgVoodoo drivers as suggested for Wine 1.0.0, couldn't get the game to start in Wine 1.0.1 though.
Workarounds
What was not tested
A lot!

Additional Comments
HOW TO INSTALL -------------- * Install Croc * Download and install latest Zeckensack's Glide wrapper (0.84c): http://www.zeckensack.de/glide/ * Delete or rename Glide2x.dll in the Croc directory, I changed this to Glide2x.dll.bak. * Run Crocrun.exe and change drivers to 3DFX Voodoo compatible * Play the game (hopefully)

A two-byte patch seems to fix the problem with keyboard control options not being saved.
Use a hex editor like okteta to open croc.exe and change two bytes at offset 0x1B715 from 0x04,0x50 to 0x00,0x90.
