Single-player gameplay, sound, music.
What does not
Network gameplay. After loading some proprietary DirectPlay DLLs, I was able to get network play working on a LAN (but not as root - Ubuntu people I'm looking at you). The game worked fine up until the first cutscene where the giant being attacks. At that point, all characters lose all of their gear and possessions, and are essentially dropped into the battle naked. Anytime you get to a cutscene, you lose everything, rendering the game unplayable cooperatively.
What was not tested
The entire game.
I would not call this a platinum supported title since multiplayer is a big part of what made the first Dungeon Siege enjoyable. Without multiplayer, it's just another hack & slash.

1. Download the native mfc42.dll and place it in ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/
2. Install it using the command
(Make sure that you properly described your cd-rom letter in the winecfg---> drives button)
2b. If you have for e.g. 4CD version and have problems with installation process (installer don't recognizes second cd in the drive) try to copy all 4 CD into one folder and then install. It installs but there can be some errors with game's working.
Another way is to make CD images and then push the install button.
3. Open up your terminal and use the command
and type in Dunegon Siege 2 game folder
and you are ready to play.
When the intro video's(Microsoft games, dungeon siege 2 etc.) don't work fluently, try to return to the desktop and shut down some no needed process's.
