What works
Everything
Remarks:
This game does however, require some time and effort to get it working well.
To even get it to install and run you need to:
Download the native mfc42.dll and place it in ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/
However, the version of this dll file needs to be at least 6.x and not the 4.x version floating around on google. (I think the 4.x one is the first link)
Also, consider turning on the virtualize desktop setting in the wine config. This helped me quite a bit and the game runs extremely well with it.
Lastly, if the above didn't help, you can always experiment with cracked game executables.
Multiplayer
To get multiplayer working, place dpnsvr.exe and the DLLs in this archive in Wine's windows/system32 directory. Then, start winecfg and add dll overrides (native, builtin) for the following DLLs: dplayx, dpnet, dpnhpast and dpwsockx.
Widescreen
This link explains it all.
What does not
Nothing
Workarounds
What was not tested
Online play. Lan was tested so I assume the mechanics of online play would work as well. May or may not be a good assumption.

1. Download the native mfc42.dll and place it in ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/
2. Install it using the command
wine Setup.exe
(Make sure that you properly described your cd-rom letter in the winecfg---> drives button)
2b. If you have for e.g. 4CD version and have problems with installation process (installer don't recognizes second cd in the drive) try to copy all 4 CD into one folder and then install. It installs but there can be some errors with game's working.
Another way is to make CD images and then push the install button.
3. Open up your terminal and use the command
and type in Dunegon Siege 2 game folder
wine DungeonSiege2.exe
and you are ready to play.
When the intro video's(Microsoft games, dungeon siege 2 etc.) don't work fluently, try to return to the desktop and shut down some no needed process's.
