[Hi could you post this as a howto and submit a test result that install works from the setup directory. I am using wine 1.17 on ubuntu 8.04]
*Use winetricks to install gecko
*Set wine to "windows nt3.5"
on your VFP9 CDROM change to the SETUP directory
run the following command: wine setup.exe
follow the vfp installation (eg enter your serial number and choose the path)
after installation start VFP9 and disable the "TASK PANE MANAGER" or else vfp9 keeps giving errors.
Most options seem to work well and VFP9 under wine, but still a number of issues persist, which I currently have no time to pursue or report.
