Additional Comments

Random crashing could be driver issues with my Nvidia graphics card; many openGL apps seem to crash randomly with my pc. fixme:bitblt:X11DRV_ClientSideDIBCopy potential optimization: client-side compressed DIB copy Keeps being printed in the terminal, I do not know what it means. Good old game - glad to see it runs in wine!

Doesn't work for me
by Daniel Koszta on Sunday May 25th 2008, 12:06
I tried it on Debian, installed wine-0.9.61 from source but it doesn't run at any reasonable speed.
The configure script didn't complain about dependencies except those needed for scanning, digital cameras and ISDN.
The installation of the game was OK, the intro movies also worked well, but when I got to the screen where I could choose what do I want to do (multiplayer / single player / tutorial / etc.) it got unreasonably slow.
Setting to low-quality didn't solve my problem.
My hardware is much more powerful, then the recommended in the readme.

I got the following messages in the terminal:

issues
by René on Sunday November 25th 2007, 23:56
the crash issues are very odd, because back on 0.9.3* i can remember playing IG2:A without any crashes for a long time.
but i cant remember wich wine version it was.

it was awesome because even windows couldn't run the game the way i wanted it to.^^
