Almost everything as good as in Windows.
What does not
Picking a component has a strange behaviour (mad scrolling) but it is usable if you are patient and shrewd. Using keyboard is more easy.
When Picking a componnet also Ares opens multiple times and is really annoying.
What was not tested
Ares. And making a complete circuit design.
I havent do that because of the errors mentioned.
This version haves the same errors as 7.2.

Error : Proteus 8 Access violation in module 'VGDVC.DLL'
go to winetricks, if you don't have it, you can install it :
sudo aptitude install winetricks
sudo apt-get install winetricks
then open the GUI, either from the menu or a console :
then check, "Select the default wineprefix" and press OK.
then check, "Run regedit" and press OK again.
Now go to :
-> Labcenter Electronics
-> Proteus 8 Professional
You should have the key "Default Graphics Mode" set to some particular integer like 3 or 2.
Change that to 1 by clicking on it twice and entering the number 1.
And you're done, this fix have been proven to work for Proteus 8x under Wine 1.8.7 under Debian Stretch. And should also work for other versions.
That was bloody easy wasn't it.
