From Chessmaster's website
Installing the game, launching the game, navigating the main menus
What does not
Chess board is drawn off the screen (unplayable), redraws are extremely slow
What was not tested
Had the chess board been on the screen, this might have been a bronze/silver but as it is... garbage.

The program is now functioning under DirectX configuration, be it ever so slow. It also functions under OpenGL with 2-Dimensional chessboards.
Let me also say that I had installed xserver-xgl because of problems with window decorations under compiz-fusion prior to the wine 1.1.2 upgrade.
