Game Update: 15, Hotfix: 15.3
The installation media is available as a retail DVD, a down-loadable trial or it may also be purchased on-line through Steam and the SOE (Sony On-line Entertainment) store as a digital download.
After installation and subscription, the SWG client is patched and updated automatically to the latest chapter by the SOE Station Launcher.
Processor: Intel Pentium III or AMD Athlon 1 Ghz.
Memory: 512 MB Ram
Graphics: 32 MB 3D Graphics Card with Hardware Transform and Lighting (T&L) Capability
Sound: PCI, USB or onboard audio device
Pretty much everything in game. No problems in space or instances (which were crashing with previous Wine+SWG configurations on my PC). Alt-Tabbing works.
What does not
Mouse cursor is buggy. Shows the SWG cursor AND mouse cursor from X11 at the same time. Most of the time the embedded HTML-pages(news,EULA...) in Station LaunchPad don't show. Couple of smaller annoyances, such as the display gamma setting will not restore back to the desktop setting when quitting the game (need to reset it with "nvidia-settings" or such a tool).
What was not tested
The "bloom" graphic effect was not tested as it requires newer video card (I am using GeForce 6600).
