Single player works great. I have managed to finish main quest without even one crash or any kind of program instability.
What does not
Multiplayer is pretty unstable. We were able to join games over IPX however game hangs very often.
What was not tested
Multiplayer over TCP/IP. AFIR BG1 TCP/IP didnt worked for me on windows >=98. (TCP/IP implementation diffrences between win95 and win98)
We could not test Baldur's Gate multiplayer over classical ethernet. In fact we did created etnernet tunnel over ip (openvpn) and then configured our tap interfaces to use EtherII IPX frame with manually configured network address. Possible network congestion issue !!!! Wine requires some extra files for BG1 multiplayer: http://wiki.winehq.org/DirectPlayGames Sorry for mine poor English ;)
