Additional Comments

To maximize the performance, a d3d8 to d3d9 wrapper can be used in conjunction with Gallium Nine (winetricks -q galliumnine) or DXVK. An example is d3d8to9 (https://github.com/crosire/d3d...)

This will translate the DirectX 8.0 API calls to DirectX 9.0 and then accelerate it with the native DX9 implementation of Gallium Nine or Vulkan in DXVK.
