What works

Installation, Shortcut Placement on KDE 3.5.1 Desktop, Game loads, Once
Start Game is selected one can watch the in-game action but because of mouse pointer impairment, one cannot participate easily or at all.

What does not

Because of the impairment of the mouse pointer: it returning to the center of the screen with any movement, it doesn't seem to be possible to test much further. I'm fairly certain if the mouse pointer impairment was fixed this demo would work properly.

Workarounds

What was not tested

Actual gameplay was not tested due to the restriction/limitation of mouse movements.

Additional Comments

Game loads and stops at black screen and mouse pointer movement up to this point works fine, click the screen and a few company logos appear, mouse pointer still works fine when clicking through these graphical screens but once the actual game title menu comes up the mouse pointer movement is impaired, I would attempt to move the mouse around the screen but it kept returning to the center again and again, making selecting either option presented at the title menu (to start the game or to quit/exit) difficult. In order to select from one of the options I would have to try over and over again to move the mouse to the right and click randomly hoping to select an option. With some luck I managed to click on the start game option and was brought into the game. Once inside the game, however, the mouse movement was still impaired to the point where I was unable to play and test further. I was able to use the arrow keys on the keyboard to scroll up, down, left and right around in-game and observe the people in the game moving about normally just as they did when I played this game on a WinXP system. Moving the mouse and clicking randomly on what I could with the impairment of the mouse pointer as it kept returning to the middle no matter what direction I tried to sent it to, I was able to click on one of the people in-game and bring up a little window of information about them, which is one of the features of the game. When the mouse does get close to something (such as a button on a menu or a person) it will highlight as it should for selection but being as the mouse keeps returning to the center the highlighted action doesn't stay for long enough to click on it, repeated attempts to return the mouse to the area to click on that highlights, be it button, person, building, etc. and click randomly seems to be the only way to select something, which is if you're lucky at all. In-game music/sound effects seemed a little choppy, but this may be because I didn't have the jack library (libjack.so) installed which 'winecfg' mentioned when I configured WINE's sound.
