What works
Installing the game works just fine. Running the game also works if you get d3dx9_27.dll, (which was required for me to play it in Windows XP x64 as well).
What does not
It is possible to start the game, watch the cutscenes and such, but you cannot actually play the game. After the cutscene, the game just stops.
In addition, there is no sound whatsover. It defaults to having no volume, but turning up the volume did nothing for me.

Additional Comments
What I have: DFI Lanparty NForce 4 SLI AMD Athlon 64 3700+ Nvidia 7800 GT 1 gb Corsair Value Select RAM 40 gb HD Sound problem may or may not be my setup, as I've had sound issues in Quake 4 demo (really distorted, people can't be understood). This requires investigation.
