full version taken from cd attached to magazine named 'Score'
on cd is also patch to version 1.17 or 1.0.0 version.
The game runs fairly well perfomance-wise
Graphics are glitch free
Can load saved games
Everything interface and control related works, except for a huge problem with the camera(see below)
What does not
Can't turn around 360°, only about 180° (which makes the game unplayable)
Menu is VERY slow
Perfomance takes some hitches, not as smooth as in Windows.
Intro clip (had to remove it manually)
What was not tested
Installation (installed at windows, copied registry key over)
First, I installed this at Windows XP, and had to patch to 1.17 (1.18 was buggy). It would ask me to reinstall the game while trying to run wine; I suspected it had something to do with registry keys, so I copied over the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arkane Studios\Installed Apps\Arx Fatalis] key and changed the folder value to point to the correct one (In my case C:\Program Files\ArxFatalis). Also had to remove the movie clip in misc folder, or else the game wouldn't run. Now, the menu is really slow (because of cursor trail, maybe?), but my saved game loaded fine. The game wasn't as smooth as in windows, some hitches here and there, but the graphics were glitch free AFAIK; the huge problem, that makes it basically unplayable, is that you can't turn around completely. THe turning stops at about the range of the mouse cursor, so I suspect the problem relies there.
