full version taken from cd attached to magazine named 'Score'
on cd is also patch to version 1.17 or 1.0.0 version.
One particular bug renders the game barely playable : the font rendering is much slower than it should be, for example the character creation screen has less that 1fps, hovering over an object ingame displays its name, slowing the game down to 5-6 fps from an original 50 or more fps (that's on an athlon64 3200 + geforce 7800gs). The menus also have a very low fps, due to this font problem (the keyboard configuration screen for example is particularly laggy).
Also, for some reason the default X cursor gets displayed over the game screen, except on the first run.
Changing this :
in the cfg.ini file 'simulates' a first run and thus fixes this issue.
I used the following configuration to run the game, other configurations might work too :
checked: allow direcx apps to stop the mouse leaving their window
checked: enable desktop double buffering
unchecked: allow the window manager to control the windows
checked: emulate a virtual desktop
Pixel shaders allowed, but i don't think the game uses them.
OSS drivers for audio with full hardware acceleration
There are also graphical glitches, such as some items not being hidden by objects in front of them, slightly incorrect shadowing, and some more.
What does not
What was not tested
I selected tested release 0.9.18, but it is actually 0.9.19. The appdb form is lagging behind, 0.9.19 is not available. I believe the installation isn't working in 0.9.18.
