Tax year 2005.
TaxCut Delux & State (Vermont) installed fine, but starting under wine-0.9.8-r1 required accepting the mozactivex download, which wouldn't install after downloading (froze with bar complete). Upgrading to wine-0.9.11 fixed that. Then downloading the TaxCut program updates required killing the TaxCut Update Manager dialog box. The update installation followed automatically (so they had been downloaded - although there'd been no status on that). TaxCut did not restart automatically, but on a manual restart recognized that the updates were now current, and it appears to be running normally. Saw a report elsewhere that Help didn't work, but that appears normal too. An additional Tools|Update cycle (including killing the TaxCut Update Manager box again) was required to get the state portion updated). The state instructions within the help system are in pdf files - haven't installed acrobat to test reading them. Some of the federal instructions require right click then "Open" from the menu, rather than a left click (and then some of those are also in pdfs). TaxCuts own help docs work normally.

What was not tested
Haven't fully run the program yet, just in the initial screens, so haven't printed or e-filed (won't be e-filing anyway). There's a report on the Win4Lin bulletin board that Wine will print for TaxCut (the 2005 version doesn't run for some of us under Win4Lin 9x).
