Installing Running Setup (graphics test) Running Direct3D (in setup, but game was slow) Running OpenGL (much faster than D3D) Playing the game (windowed and fullscreen, both D3D and OpenGL, maximum tested resolution was FullHD - 1920x1080) Multiplayer (on local network, join and even host a game, tried on two Linux machines, one as host, the other joined and played together ;-) )
What does not
Videos, video panel "runs" in the view and game occasionally crashes (seems like it happens only when loading the specific video for the first time, because on the second time, video panel runs in and out and plays nothing, but game doesn't crash)
What was not tested
I think I tested everything
Installed from original CD from Gamestar magazine. Latest patch included in instalation. Maximum install (but videos don't work, maybe smaller installation will also run). Played for many hours, some skirmish battles, half of one campaign. Everything except videos is stable. Multiplayer got running after installation of Directplay (using winetricks) Played on ATI Radeon HD 5570 with ati-drivers (known also as proprietary or closed source)

a Simple fix to this problem is to rename or delete the video directory in the Earth 2150 directory.
