Treepad

What works

Previous poster was correct about Treepad versions. The X Enterprise is a completely different architecture. All other versions of Treepad - Lite, Biz, etc. are the same, and should run equally well. I use TreePadBIZ for its encryptment features (6.4.4), but have run others in the past.

As Treepad is self-contained in Windows, I did not install it, but just copied the directory into my Linux .wine "Program Files". All normal functions have worked just fine for me in three distros of Linux - Ubuntu, Vector, and Debian. Speed seems to be approximately equivalent to Windows with about the same cpu power.

What does not

Menu choices are not added, but must be manually added. One or two program toolbar button icons do not work. Font rendition is poorer than Windows, and also worse than other Linux programs.
