hope this is alright, havent done this before... found it easier to try and install this on wine than on ubuntu lol.

To use the online installer you'll have to use native shlwapi, otherwise Limewire will be unable to download the installer files:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="shlwapi=n" wine LimeWireWin.exe
after copying shlwapi.dll from a windows partition to ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32
(at one point (during java install) the installer seems to hang, but just wait a while and the installation will succeed)
