What works

Installation, gameplay, minus a couple of fairly minor issues regarding text display.

What does not

Some of the in game text is displayed incorrectly. There is code displayed which appears to be to do with Microsoft XML, after which the actual text is displayed. Also, a dll override is required to play without crashing. The text is mostly to do with items in the game inventory, and some other ingame text. Also when trading, with item descriptions, Most other text is unaffected.

 Msvcrt.dll is needed, from a WIndows partition or downloaded via google. You must use winecfg to add a dll override. After putting the dll file in your wine c_drive/windows/system32, you must go to the libraries tab and add Msvcrt to the native libraries section.

Additional Comments

Once the demo has been run, you will see a black screen. You need to press escape several times in order to get to the game screen, Under Linux Mint (equivalent to Ubuntu 7.10) with the same version of wine, there was no problem launching the demo. If you do not add the dll override, the demo will crash after pressing escape.
