* Installation * Starting the game manually via "~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/JoWooD/Neighbours from Hell 2 Demo XS/bin$ wine game.exe" without quotes at the command line (Shortcut placed on desktop by the installer was incorrect) * Pre-Game menu and the options within it * Playing the game demo from start to finish (everything worked perfectly except for the sound which skipped)
What does not
~ Uninstall via ALT+F2 and typing "wine uninstaller" without quotes; the uninstaller for this game demo gives you two options: repair and remove, I chose remove and while it had a progress bar that went to 100% and it followed with a message saying the uninstall was complete, a check of the directory where it was installed to revealed that all the files were still there; manually removed the installed files and the incorrectly made shortcut on the desktop. It also left a directory in my home directory (of /home/username) which had one subdirectory and two files, all of which I manually removed.
What was not tested
- I didn't try using ALSA via winecfg or any other sound option other than OSS
