Zinio Reader throws Error 40 all the time, just close this and you are good to go.


"An Error Has Occured While Trying to open the help file"

Buttons do not show unless hovering over them, they are black otherwise .

Back Page Button doesn't always work, but neither does it crash the app.

I did this: Get msxml3.dll from , set it native This didn't make it work, so I also got msxml3a.dll and msxml4.dll. Set them both to native in winecfg. After doing this it worked fine, with the issues above.No crashes, however, so I call it a silver, because the main purpose of the app is usable and the minor issues don't interfere with the possibility of reading magazines.

2013-05-03 Admin note: the instructions below are very old and may not apply to current Wine. They are being left here for the benefit of anyone who may wish to test and/or update them.

You need to install the Microsoft version of msxml3 and set Wine to Win98 emulation to get it to work after installation. The symptom of this being necessary is that magazines download correctly, but the software tells you that you don't have a license to view it (the license information is stored in XML files).
