Retail CD release
Game runs fine, graphics is great, I didn't notice any glitches when it comes to gameplay. I tried highest settings on graphics with my nVidia 7600GT card and it was very smooth. And finally, keyboard works (which is why I stopped playing this game earlier in Edgy because keyboard there did not work).
What does not
OSS sound does not work at all. ALSA sound works very well sometimes, and sometimes it just hangs - repeating one sound over and over, or dies completely. Sound issues occur on heavy system load primarily, starting with sound lagging behind and then finally breaking apart.
Under Beryl window manager the game will start but freeze when trying to start a game. It works very well in Metacity window manager.
Mouse scrolling wheel should be able to zoom, but it can only be used to zoom in. Impossible to zoom out. This was an issue before too, but then the keyboard didn't work. Now it is possible to use PgUp/PgDn to zoom in and out making the mouse-wheel-bug less annoying.
3 times the game crashed on me during the first minute of play. Always in concurrence with sound problems. With OSS sound (i.e. without sound) I never crashed. With ALSA sound the crash would come almost immediately after sound errors and very early in gameplay. When I restarted the game it would work fine without changing any settings.
What was not tested
I copied the game from a previous install in Ubuntu Edgy Eft. So installation was not tested. I never tried any multiplayer games, only singleplayer vs computer and singleplayer campaign.
If I remember correctly there was some previous issue with the movies on startup that would crash the game. Since I copied the game from my previous install I don't know if the movies will still crash the game or if that issue has been fixed, but the introduction movie is playing very fine (it was the logo movies that caused the previous crashes on older system).

If the setup program asks for 'setup.exe', kill it, and then run 'killall -9 IKernel.exe'
If the game does not allow you to choose a resolution higher than 1024x768, run regedit and add the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D, then add the string value VideoMemorySize and set it to the amount of video memory you have
