Retail CD release
Install to default path (kill installer at end).
Singleplayer Campaigns 1-3
What does not
Clicking Browse-button in order to change installation directory makes installer vanish.
Installer complains about not being able to read setup.exe at the end of installation. The game works, even if the installer is killed at that point.
A black screen with only subtitles on it is displayed instead of the major Cutscenes (The ones without a Skip-button, first one happens after Campaign1 Mission4)
Some effects stay on the battlefield
When selecting my laptop's native resolution (1440x900) the game immediately switches back to 1024x768
Often the game-window is not displayed at all when windows are controlled by the window manager (I use kwin). Unmanaged windows work fine.
Overall Game-performance seems to be really poor. Reducing screen resolution and image quality helps a bit, but not much.
The mouse cursor is very laggy and jumpy. Enabling HW Cursor in the game options results in displaying my standard pointer instead of the fancy hand, sword, horse, ... cursors and it flickers, but at least it's lag-free.
What was not tested
Singleplayer Campaigns 4-6
Multiplayer (Local Network, Ubi.com)
Everything applies to game version 1.0 and 1.1 as well. I could not install the patch with wine (the patch-installer said that the game was not installed at all) so I installed and patched the game on Windows XP and copied the whole game.

If you can't find the patch you're looking for at one of the update sites, try the other one.
If the setup program asks for 'setup.exe', kill it, and then run 'killall -9 IKernel.exe'
If the game does not allow you to choose a resolution higher than 1024x768, run regedit and add the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D, then add the string value VideoMemorySize and set it to the amount of video memory you have
