Installation, the game (when cracked)
What does not
performance not so good, there are lightning errors (some shadows are blue),
intro got out of sync slightly (other cutscenes where fine)
There is sometimes a strange bug, where the graphic breakes down and just shows the screen in psychedelic colors (happens just very seldom, and reloading fixes it)
I was not able to leave the Elizabeth dane, seems on wine the Leopold bug strikes there too. (i had to use the game console to teleport my off the ship)
Since 9.54 (maybe earlyer but not tested) on startup the main menu flickers like there is a problem with doublebuffering, but when the game is loaded, it works flawlessly.
What was not tested
i did not finish the game (yet)
The program needs a no-cd crack to run, and it seems that not every crack is working.

If you get the following error and performance issues:
fixme:d3d_surface:fb_copy_to_texture_direct Doing a pixel by pixel copy from the framebuffer to a texture, expect major performance issues
Adding the following Registry key should help:
HKCU/Software/Wine/Direct3D: OffscreenRenderingMode = "fbo"
Also if you have a black menu when the game starts, or graphic errors, you can set the following Registry Key:HKCU/Software/Wine/Direct3D: UseGLSL = "disabled"
(this also increases the performance strongly)
(see http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys for further information)
To force antialiasing in the game, run this in a terminal:
wine /path/to/your/Vampire.exe -game Unofficial_Patch
