What works
Installation works by overiding wininet to native for the installer.
Afterwards, the client will start with the following settings:
Windows version = Windows 98
Dlloverides:
ole32 (native)
oleaut32 (native)
^- Those get rid of a ton of fixme messages.
And thats it. As soon as the signon button is clicked
it dies with "Unhandled exception"
Additionally, the About MySpaceIM dialogue can be seen and the Update function
appears to work.

Signing on. And everything after that.
