Prey (2006)

What works

(Part 2, please delete my previous entry)

Tested the DEMO of Prey.

Installation - ok

Run the game - ok with wine prey.exe command line since there is no shortcut.

Single player.

Sounds work, but look below in what does not work to make it work!

What does not

There is no sound. I try both settings in game, stereo and surround, but no result.

FIX : When looking in the logs of wine I saw this :"Please run winecfg, open "Audio" page and set "Hardware Acceleration" to "Emulation"."

But, instead of Emulation or the current OSS choice, I switch to ALSA sound and uncheck the OSS driver. Now sound is working. There is difference in speed from this change, but rarely the sound will chunk a little bit.

Because of that, I am changing my rating from Bronze to Silver.
