The demo works almost perfectly after configuring it to use OpenGL instead of Direct3D. Game worked fine with resolution 1024x768 (I haven't tested larger resolutions yet) and maxium graphics settings. Impressive. To tell Hitman 2 to use OpenGL, fire up notepad.exe (don't use pico!) and change DrawDll to Renderopengl.dll instead of Renderd3d.dll.
What does not
* Direct3D support, which isn't a problem since you should use OpenGL * Key setup only works with Virtual desktop mode, so do something like $ wine explorer /desktop=foo,800x600 hitman2.exe to set up controls before going to fullscreen (quit the game and read the next part) * Game didn't seem to get keyboard focus (Major bug in wine, I assume), but workaround for it is to start the game with $ wine explorer.exe C: and start hitman2.exe from there.
What was not tested
Resolution >1024x768 (yet!)
