Retail 1.0 release. With NO updates!Â
With the native Linux installer by icculus there is no need to use Wine anymore!
Everything, entire game, controls, graphics, sound etc.
What does not
Probably Punkbuster in multiplayer games.
What was not tested
I have tested everything, beat entire game on wine
To get sound working (if you haven't got it), do not set "sound emulation" and set acceleration to Full. If you still get no sound copy openal32.dll (find it in google) to your wine "/windows/system32/" directory it should work now just fine. On some configurations the mouse seams to be little laggy. I used no-cd fix with version 1.0 but in version 1.x the cd fix is not needed because the patch removes the cd check. The game is working very well, the fps are usually high. I played with high settings in 1280x1024 settings fullscreen. It was tested on Athlon 64 X2 4600 machine with Geforce 8600GT card.
