What works

Almost everything:

2D movies run perfectly.
Game runs perfectly when "Next Generation Content" is disabled.
Here's a rare one: Some places and effects in the Kazakhstan level usually crash the game in native Windows (Vista), but not Wine when Next Generation Content is enabled.

What does not

Flickering geometry on some characters (bad guys and some of Lara's outfits) which didn't flicker in Vista.  Only happens when "Next Generation Content" is enabled.
Shadows in combination with Next Generation Content.
3D is much slower in Wine than in native Vista with "Next Generation Content" enabled.
Doesn't work with Debian's open-source Radeon driver (program says card is not DX9.0c compliant).

What was not tested

Not a lot.
