The in game work very fast and nice. The advanced graphic not run with Wine, because he need the shader activated, but with the basic graphic there are no problems.
Also the interface mod's run and the game work in windows and in full screen mode.
The game load is faster on linux: i make some benchmark and on wine the game load is 50% faster. That's amazing.
What does not
The shader mode of wine. If shaders are activated the game simply crash when the screen of character go up.
What was not tested
The installer :).
Install it on windows, then copy the folder on linux. The game is perfect: i tried the original game and also the emulators and the game work perfectly. There is a problem load DOL emulator, because the interface not run with wine. If you want to play a unofficial server try this from command line: wine path_of_DOL/dolloader.exe game.dll IP_SERVER 10300 GAME_VERSION PLAYER_ID PASSWORD such as wine /home/pinco/daoc/DOL/dolloader.exe game.dll 184.108.40.206 10300 1.80 pallo pallo I tested this line with several server. NOTE: i give it a gold rating because the game is really playable. But without the best graphics and this is a bad issue.

Applying The Patch:
cd $HOME/Download/wine patch -p0 < wine-X-cursor-hack.patch # If you have already installed from source, just re-run make make -s > /dev/null && sudo make install
Alternately, you can run make from within the $HOME/Download/wine/dlls/winex11.drv folder and copy winex11.drv.so to wherever wine was installed, probably /usr/local/lib/wine.
If you are worried about the cursor hack messing up other programs you can run wine directly from the source tree without installing:
