What works
To record do the following each time hypercam starts:
- "AVI file" (tab) > "Video compressor:" (drop down) > select "Full frames (Uncompressed)"
- "Screen Area" (tab) and click "Select Window" and then click on the desktop. Dont click select region and dont click on a program (when using "select window"), trust me.
What does not
- default video compressor settings makes hypercam crash.
- Hot keys
- when using "select region" playback fails
- when using "select window" and you click on a program instead of the desktop, playback fails and/or Hypercam crashes.

So just remember to click "Select Window" and then click on the desktop and then you can open up programs that you want to record.
Other information:
"Screen area" (tab) > DO NOT put a dot "hide hypercam window" because hot keys dont work.
