What works
The installation of MS Money 2000 appears to work and go to completion under wine version 0.9.4. Running the installation from the command line to see what messages are showing up yields a "Sharing violation" message, yet only one instance of the installer is running.
What does not
When I attempted to execute MSMONEY.EXE under wine, I received the following error messages on the command screen:
fixme:actctx:CreateActCtxW stub!
err:module:LdrInitializeThunk "MNYOB99.DLL" failed to initialize, aborting
err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"C:\\Program
Files\\Microsoft Money\\System\\MSMONEY.EXE" failed, status c0000142
Workarounds
What was not tested
I am not able to get an execution of the program to proceed further. I will consider upgrading to wine 0.9.5 as soon as the Wine Tools configuration tool supports it and try to execute the MS Money code.
