Sound glitches are present, but I am unsure if this is due to wine. To play the game without having to run the installer, install on a windows box, even one insufficiently powerful to play the game, then copy the game folder to your linux box, apply a nocd patch, then play as-is. There are no graphical glitches whatsoever.

While playing MDK2 using the alsa plugin, there are many buffer underrun problems. Switching to Mdk2Main.exe to OSS in winecfg fixes them (at least the ones You can hear, because there are still a few err:dsound:DSOUND_MixInBuffer msg's in the console window).
