Additional Comments

The installation WILL work only if you do a few things. 1. Run the FlexBuilder installation program and you should see a blank, messed up Adobe Flex Installer DIalog. Just press enter. It will extract. 2. The first instance will close and another one will open. Just exit out of the installation at that part. 3. Go to http://java.sun.com and download JRE 1.5.0.9 and install it using wine. 4. Go to the /windows/Downloaded Installations/Adobe Flex Builder 2.0.1/FlexBuilder2_Installer/Windows/resource/jre folder. Delete everything in there and copy the contents from the JRE1.5 folder in /Program Files/Java. 5. /windows/Downloaded Installations/Adobe Flex Builder 2.0.1/FlexBuilder2_Installer/Windows/ and run FlexBuilder_2Installer.exe and notice how you can ACTUALLY see the installation screens. 6. After it installs, goto terminal and type in "winecfg". make an Application Override for "java.exe". Goto the Libraries tab, make "msvcrt" and "shdocvw" to be native. Download the dlls from google and place the shdocvw in the /windows/system32/folder, then place the "msvcrt" in the Path to JRE1.5 and inside of the bin directory 7. After it installs you have to run Flex from java manually so you will have to open up terminal, go to the /Program Files/Adobe/Flex Builder 2 folder and execute "wine [Path to JRE 1.5 in the Program Files/Java folder]/bin/java -jar startup.jar. 8. Watch the program run :-).
