Games installs, very minor glitch in that the dialog for entering the CD key is hidden under the setup screen. By first moving the setup screen, before pressing next the key can be added easily.
Once installed, using SD Annihilator the protection can be removed from the game which allows it to start. The game starts, does not show the movies but does show the splash screens and eventually gets to the main menu screen.
It is possible to start a new game and get into the strategy part of the game.
What does not
There is a problem with the display, in that the screen appears to be showing a 640x480 part of the real 800x600 display.
Some menu items cannot be used, as they appear 'below' the view. In the strategy section of the game, the window appears wrapped, ie. each row of 800 pixels is written out, the first 640 on the correct line, and the remaining pixels wrap onto the next row. It is not possible therefore to play the strategy part of the game.
What was not tested
The battle screen was not tested.
As a test, I modified the source of Wine so it would not switch the screen from 800x600 into 640x480. In some cases, this had a positive affect, for example the menu screens were almost correct, with all the items in the correct locations. However, the strategy part of the game was still unplayable.
