Installation (download of new client version, graphics and sounds), playing the game with all actions, even bard music runs well (QuickTime 6.5.2 required).

3D-effects, using OpenGL moves client window aside, bold fonts for sharing characters (works with wine 0.9.8)

HowTo / Notes

HOWTO

First install wine version 1.0rc3 or another more recent version of wine. Arindal is unplayable using a wine release from 0.9.51 to 1.0rc2.
Download and install Quicktime for Windows for the sound to work.

Remember to set windows version to XP or later in winecfg for the installer to work.

Download the Arindal winclient from here and unpack the archive to a directory of your choice.
Run the Arindal.exe via wine.
Wait for the image- and sound-datafiles to be downloaded.
After the automatic restart of the client you can login with your account!
Everything should work now, including sound, bard music, macros and OpenGL.

To make sure OpenGL-mode runs fine be sure to use recent drivers for your graphic card.
